NVIDIA ION clinches Best Choice award, launches new Tegra products
NVIDIA kicked off this year’s Computex with a bang with the ION winning the prestigious “Best Choice of Overseas Enterprise” award from the Taipei Computer Association.
“NVIDIA ION is changing the computing world and we are really proud to get an award like this. Congratulations to everybody at NVIDIA ,” said Drew Henry, general manager of the desktop GPU business unit at NVIDIA, who accepted the award from Dr Chao-Shiuan Liu, Premier of the Republic of China at the opening of the show.
Tegra also drew attention with the launch of 12 new high-definition mobile Internet devices (MIDs). Powered by the NVIDIA Tegra processor, the world’s smallest and lowest power computer-on-a-chip, these devices include netbooks and tablets. More than 120 journalists attended the press conference at Brown Sugar.
